What is digital painting?
Digital painting creates a work of art with a computer and software rather than with paints, brushes, and canvases. Some digital artists create works from scratch, using only their imaginations and the tools available to them. Other artists select images from other sources (such as the Internet) and manipulate them to produce something novel and interesting. Others, such as I, combine these approaches in varying degrees.

I select images (photographs, sketches, line drawings, cartoons, etc.) either from my own collection or, most often, from the Internet and create something new from them. The process is not as simple as running an image through an artistic filter and leaving it at that. Learn more about how I create digital art.
